Thus ended the contest organized by the NEW REVIEW editorial staff to mark the 35th anniversary of this in-flight magazine and its 200th edition issue. The prize contest lasted for a year, from July 2009 to June 2010. From the submitted photos, the jury each month shortlisted those photos they thought best for the particular month’s batch. Some 400 people sent in over 800 photographs to the NEW REVIEW for the contest.
The jury, comprising Imre Szabo (STATUS magazine photography editor) – president and Milan Melka (NEW REVIEW photography editor) and Dejana Vranješ (NEW REVIEW art director) as members faced a difficult task of choosing from among many outstanding the three photos they thought best each month and ultimately of deciding the contest winners from among those they already picked.
The NEW REVIEW editorial staff would like to thank contest participants for taking part and in this way honoring our anniversary.
