Jat Airways is to maintain a winter timetable from October 26, 2008, to March 28, 2009.
Under the winter timetable, flights will be conducted to 21 countries of the region, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. As many as 173 flights a week are to be carried out to 30 international destinations, in addition to the 63 frequencies on other companies' flights under code-share arrangements. Compared to last year's winter season, the new additions include the lines to Milan and Thessaloniki as well as an increased number of flights to Skoplje.
Beginning October 26, Jat is to fly to Milan three times a week – Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Departures from Belgrade for these flights are planned at 1:10 p.m., and return from Milan at 4:25 p.m. local time. Air tickets may be obtained at promotional rates ranging from 39 euros for a one-way trip and 69 euros for round trip, plus taxes.
Thessaloniki was entered on the flight timetable on June 1 as a seasonal line, but owing to passenger demand Jat would continue to fly on this destination, twice per week – Thursdays and Sundays.
Jat has also increased the number of frequencies to Skoplje - from seven to thirteen.
Jat Airways' highest-frequency lines this winter will be those to Frankfurt, Vienna, Moscow, Paris, London, Skoplje, Sarajevo, Podgorica and Tivat – at least once a day. Six flights a week are planned on the lines to Rome, Istanbul and Zurich, five to Amsterdam and Düsseldorf, four to Ljubljana, Stuttgart, Berlin, Trieste and Copenhagen, three to Athens, Banja Luka, Milan, Stockholm and Larnaka, two to Thessaloniki, Brussels, Tel Aviv and Dubai, and one to Monastir.
On the Niš-Zurich line, Jat Airways will continue flying twice a week. Departure times on this line will enable passengers to reach Switzerland already in the morning hours on Mondays and Saturdays. This would considerably facilitate and widen their options for connecting flights to other European and North American destinations.
Jat also ensures links by bus from Berlin to Hamburg and Hanover.
In cooperation with the most prestigious foreign air companies under code-share arrangements, passengers from Serbia may travel to Vienna by Jat and Austrian Airlines by boarding one of the 27 weekly flights, to Munich and Frankfurt – on 21 Jat and Lufthansa flights, to Moscow – twice a day on Jat and Aeroflot flights and to Paris – once a day by Jat and Air France. Czech Airlines flies to Prague every day.
This season, too, Jat will provide for its passengers connections to the biggest European and world centers. The connecting flights to destinations to which Jat does not fly directly have been ensured under arrangements with Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Czech Airlines, Swiss, British Airways, British Midland, Icelandair and Finnair.
Jat Airways offers favorable connecting flights to passengers bound for Australia and New Zealand, China, the Near, Middle and Far East and India in cooperation with such companies as Emirates via Dubai and Lufthansa via Frankfurt. Also, Beijing may be reached by flying by Aeroflot via Moscow, Air China via Frankfurt or Stockholm as well as boarding Turkish Airlines via Istanbul.
Connecting flights to North Africa and South America have been ensured in cooperation with such companies as Virgin Atlantic via London, Martinair via Amsterdam, Swiss via Zurich, Lufthansa via Frankfurt and Munich, Austrian Airlines via Vienna as well as Delta Air Lines and United Airlines via European destinations to which Jat flies directly.
Africa-bound passengers may travel from Belgrade using combined flights of Jat Airways and Emirates, Turkish Airlines or Srilankan Airlines.
The timetable is subject to changes depending on developments on the market.
