Talks on strategic partnership and Jat Airways' joining proprietary share in the Macedonian national air company, MAT, opened in Skoplje yesterday.
Apart from agreeing to take commercial cooperation to the highest level, the two sides also discussed the possibility of MAT aircraft technical maintenance by Jat Technical Operations.
In the two coming weeks, a commission made up of the two air companies' experts is to work out the proposal of the percentage for a Jat proprietary share in the Macedonian air company. The two companies have found common ground for this in MAT's realistic debt to Jat worth 10 million dollars. In this way, Jat would become a shareholder of its Macedonian partner.
The Serbian national air company, Jat Airways, has thus reiterated its commitment to evolve into a regional leader by demonstrating readiness for a greater presence on this market and to extend and upgrade services to passengers from Macedonia numbering some 600,000 annually.
