Procedure to provide free taxi rides to and from the Belgrade airport for all Jat Airways passengers begins tomorrow with an open invitation announcement to submit tenders aimed at selecting the taxi company to provide this service to Jat passengers. The free taxi service will operate and be available on the entire Belgrade city territory. All passengers need do to qualify for this service is show the taxi driver a purchased ticket of the national air carrier. This applies to all those arriving to or departing from the Nikola Tesla Airport onboard Jat airplanes. The invitation will be posted in the media on Tuesday, October 27, 2009.
"To Jat, every passenger counts, as we strive to continually upgrade and adjust to the wishes, needs and expectations of those benefiting from our services. In a short while, our passengers will no longer have to concern themselves as to how to reach or leave Belgrade airport because they would practically not be have to leave their seat. This is merely one of the novelties we have prepared. Our passengers can expect many other gratifying conveniences in the coming period" – Jat Airways CEO Srdjan Radovanović set out.
The national air carrier’s new service is part of the recently presented measures to improve business, as one of the company’s aims is also to transport one and half million passengers next year. In this context, it was announced that Jat passengers would soon enjoy also free health insurance when traveling to the European Union member-countries. In addition, Jat Airways plans to join one of the European air carrier’s alliances as well. This, along with other measures, is designed to enhance the national air company’s efforts to restore its position of regional commercial aviation leader. |
